Snatch and Pew...


Required Equipment

  • Dumbbell (70/50) (scale appropriately (50/35)).

  • Rifle


Complete the following:

10 Alternating DB Snatch (70/50)

8 Rifle

20  Alternating DB Snatch (70/50)

12 Rifle

30  Alternating DB Snatch (70/50)

16 Rifle



Target:

3 - 1/8 sheet of paper 8x11 printer paper as target.

(basically rip the paper in 1/4's and fold the 1/4 in half.)

*This will create a rectangle. Position the rectangle so it is taller than wider.


Rifle Target Distance: 25 yrds (75ft)


Loudout:

1x8 Rifle

1x12 Rifle

1x16 Rifle


Firing Position:

Free-standing non-supported

*may use sling but no other outside implements.


Setup:

  • Place targets (3 1/8 pieces of paper ) downrange stapled at shoulder height / Taller than wider.

  • Use one target per round. (Max 8 hits on first, 12 on second, 16 on third).

  • Measure from targets up-range 75ft --> Mark firing line.  

  • Set your rifle at the firing line (can be on box or table).

  • Place your dumbbell behind the firing line.


Instructions:

  1. Athlete will start standing with dumbbell on ground behind the firing line.

  2. On go: athlete will pick up the dumbbell and perform 10 alternating snatches.

  3. Then, go to firing line load and fire 8 rifle shots free standing/unsupported.

  4. Perform Clearing Procedure

    - Remove magazine

    - Close bolt/slide

    - Point firearm downrange and pull trigger

    - Place rifle/pistol down

    - Raise both hands and yell out loud "clear!"

  5. Repeat for rounds 20 and 30.

  6. Time stops following final clearing procedure.

 


Scoring:

Time + Misses (10 sec/miss)

8:30 plus 13 misses with the 70s.

640 final score.

First round- with 50s

302 seconds with 80 seconds in misses- final score 382.

Now off to the 70s. Axle bar as well maybe?
