FAFO Fam!


You asked for it so here it is.


FAFO will be dropping monthly workouts. It's like dropping a monthly crossword puzzle. It gives you something fun to do that you don't have to think up of all by yourself. Adds a little variety and spice to your life.

Sudden Death

This was the workout given to the tied leaders in the MIM Division of the last FAFO competition (slightly modified).

Required Equipment

- Rower

- Pistol

- Rifle

- 25 yrd Shooting Bay


Complete the following:

4 Rounds For Time:

350m Row

20 Hops over Rower

8 Rifle

8 Pistol


Target Setup:

Take a 1/2 sheet of paper 8x11 printer paper as target.

Rifle Target Distance: 25 yrds (75ft)

Pistol Target Distance: 20 yrds (60ft)


Loudout:

4x8 Rifle

4x8 Pistol


Firing Position:

Free standing non supported for both rifle and pistol


Setup:

  • Mark firing line and measure from firing line downrange 75ft --> Place rifle target (1/2 sheet paper)

  • Measure from firing line downrange 60ft --> Place pistol target (1/2 sheet paper)

  • Both targets should be at shoulder height and staggered so both are visible. It does not matter if the closer one is to the left or right of the further one. 

  • Set your rifle and pistol at the firing line (can be on box or table).

  • Place your rower behind the firing line.

  • Set the rower to intervals > distance > variable rest max 10mins.


Instructions:

  1. Athlete will start standing behind rower.

  2. On go athlete will mount rower and row 350 meters

  3. Athlete will then get off rower and perform 20 hops over rower.

  4. Athlete will then approach firing line.

  5. Load rifle and perform 8 rifle shots free-standing non supported.

  6. Perform Clearing Procedure

    - Remove magazine

    - Close bolt/slide

    - Point firearm downrange and pull trigger

    - Place rifle/pistol down

    - Raise both hands and yell out loud "clear!"

  7. Load pistol and perform 8 pistol shots free-standing non supported. 

  8. Perform Clearing Procedure

  9. Return to Rower


Repeat this sequence for 3 more rounds. Time ends when athlete clears pistol on final firing sequence. 


Scoring:

Score = Raw Time in Seconds + Misses (add 10 secs per miss)
